Story summary: Michael Jordan wants to be taller so he can play better basketball on the neighborhood street basketball team. His mama encourages him to work hard and pray and he will get bigger. When Michael does not get taller after a couple of months of following his mother's advice he gets discouraged. His dad tells him he has what it takes and that he will get better with hard work and lots of practice. Michael begins to believe in himself.
My reaction: This is a good book to encourage children to work hard and do their best, to develop their talents and to never give up.
