Summary: The town of Chewandswallow was a great place to live. The residents were happy to go outside every meal to gather their food that came down from the sky. One day, however, the weather began to change and the food became to large and messy to handle. The residents tried to survive with this change in the weather but they could not. They decided to abandon the town of Chewandswallow and find a new place to live.
My reaction: This book is just plain fun! What a way to get students to use their imaginations!
Activity: Students could create their own unusual town and choose a way to present it to their classmates.
