What Floats? What Sinks?: A Look at Density

by Jennifer Boothroyd

2011
Ages:5-8
Genre(s): Informational

Summary: Starting off by describing what it means to sink and what it means to float, the author gives many examples of objects and describes what causes them to sink or float. This book also discusses water level, density and surface area.  It tells why things floating and sinking are important in everyday life.

My reaction: The subject of density very simply put and beautifully illustrated.  Children will find this book interesting and informative.
